‘Girl on fire’ is the nickname for Hunger Games character Katniss Everdeen, but it’s just as apt for the actress who plays her, Jennifer Lawrence. As she continues to blaze through Hollywood, the 22-year-old Oscar-winner is set to take on a new role in movie-making: producing. Lawrence will star in and produce The Rules of Inheritance, EW has confirmed. Susanne Bier, who won an Oscar for her Danish film In a Better World, is set to direct.
The film is an adaptation of the memoir of the same name by Claire Bidwell Smith, about the hardships she went through when both of her parents were diagnosed with cancer when she was 14.
Producing alongside Lawrence will be Bruce Cohen, who worked with Lawrence on Silver Linings Playbook. Abi Morgan (The Iron Lady) is writing the script.

Is there anyone in Hollywood you’d still like to work with?
Jennifer Lawrence. I think she’s wonderful. I voted for her for the Oscar. I’d love to play her grandfather or something.

overGirl is teaming up with Lionsgate for a makeup collection tied to the late-November release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, the follow-up to the 2012 blockbuster. The Capitol Collection, featuring new products inspired by the film, will hit stores later this year. The cosmetics company did not reveal product details.
In announcing the branding partnership, CoverGirl released three official posters touting the new collection, showing a woman in shadow in three different poses.
Products for the first movie included a nail polish collection, a Hunger Games-themed cookbook and even a Katniss Barbie doll.
“With The Hunger Games: Catching Fire partnership, we wanted to redefine cosmetics’ relationship to film with a fantasy-meets-reality beauty experience,” said Esi Eggleston Bracey, vp and general manager Global P&G Cosmetics. “The film-inspired CoverGirl campaign coming out this fall truly will bring beauty transformation to life in an aspirational, dramatic fashion. All of us at CoverGirl were captivated by Suzanne Collins’ novels and the first film, so we’re thrilled to collaborate with Lionsgate on such a bold beauty partnership with the release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.”

TOTALFILM.COM – As Jennifer Lawrence is possibly the most in-demand actress in Hollywood right now, it should come as little surprise that she landed a spot in Total Film’s Future 100: our preview of the hottest incoming movies, stars and trends.
Inside the brand new issue of Total Film magazine, she tells us about her meteoric rise and blazing future, talking about everything from ‘indies vs blockbusters’, to her own acting methods.
Here’s an excerpt of what she had to say on The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, where the pressure of matching the predecessor seems to have caused her no panic:
“If possible, there was even less preparation because I was like, ‘I’ve done this before’,” she said. “We had a lot of the same crew. Josh [Hutcherson] and Liam [Hemsworth] were there. Normally, when I do a movie, I’m meeting people for the first time, so it was amazing to be able to have the same group of people. It was so fun.”
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire opens in the UK on 22 November 2013.

HOLLYWOODREPORTER.COM – Traditionally, a track composed specifically for a film trailer isn’t treated as its own song, deserving of an individual release. But for T.T.L., an electronic project formed of musical artist Tying Tiffany and Italian producer Lorenzo Montana, scoring trailers is an opportunity to create new music than can live outside its initial format. The duo, signed with Brooklyn-based music production and sync agency ZerOKilled Music, has created music for various trailers, including Battleship, The Hunger Games and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. “Beyond Fire,” which is featured in the recent trailer for Catching Fire, was released via iTunes on Friday and functions as an autonomous single.
The instrumental number, an epic, darkly toned track, falls somewhere between classical orchestration and EDM-tinged ambiance. The pair, who previously penned “Deep Shadow” for the first Hunger Games trailer, wrote the song with the film’s sensibility in mind.
“There’s an extreme confidentiality around the trailers world so, except for a brief description of the plot, they don’t give us a lot of information,” Tiffany says. “In the case of The Hunger Games trailers, we actually read the trilogy books to get deeper into the atmosphere of the story. While writing the music we got inspired thinking about the sense of sacrifice, survival and revolution present in the books. It was not too hard to get into this mood, since these are issues that we are living in now, in this moment of history.”

HARPERSBAZAAR.COM – Twitter and Instagram are in a frenzy with the news that Jennifer Lawrence has cut off her famously long locks. BAZAAR went straight to the source, celebrity stylist Mark Townsend, to get the exclusive story on her new ‘do. His words below:
“Yesterday, Jennifer showed up an hour before call time and as she opened the door she was like ‘Mark I want to cut it all off.’ I was like ‘What? Are we allowed to do that?’ And she said ‘Of course, it’s my hair!’
She didn’t want the conventional asymmetrical bob (shorter in the back, longer in the front). She wanted tons of layers—so we went with a full-on shag, with bangs and a lot of face-framing layers. I loosened up the ends by chopping into them with thinning shears. As I cut, I lost track of how many times she said ‘I love it!’ She was super excited. It’s the shortest her hair has been her whole life.”
Townsend also adds that it’s the perfect cut as warm weather rolls in: “She doesn’t have to worry about keeping frizz down. She can just rock her natural texture.”

EONLINE.COM – Jennifer Lawrence is on the receiving end of another important award!
The 22-year-old Oscar-winner, and Kentucky native, will be honored with the Down Syndrome of Louisville’s Friendship Award next week, a spokesperson for the organization tells E! News
The Hunger Games star’s brother Blaine Lawrence (pictured here on the right) and his fiancée will accept the award on behalf of his famous sis on Apr. 26 at the organization’s Kentucky Derby bash, the Mint Jubilee Gala. Lawrence is unable to attend because she’ll be filming in Hawaii.
J.Law is getting the award to honor her friendship with Louisville local Andy Strunk, who has Down Syndrome.
“Jennifer and Andy Strunk (a member of Down Syndrome of Louisville) have been friends and neighbors since their middle school days,” the spokesperson says. “Jennifer and Andy enjoy a loyal friendship of mutual encouragement and enjoy each other’s company and humor. They text and speak on the phone quite frequently. Their families stay in close contact and continue a friendship too.”
Lawrence’s family has a long history with Down Syndrome of Louisville. Her grandfather and uncle throw an annual Christmas party for the organization, which she has attended and even volunteered at.
“Our members and staff of Down Syndrome of Louisville are so very proud of Jennifer for staying true to her Louisville hometown roots while she achieves global recognition for her craft as an artist,” the spokesperson says. “We are thrilled that Andy will present the Friendship Award to her family.”

WHATCULTURE.COM – After months of being simply listed as Untitled David O. Russell Abscam Project, the period flick due for release in December has today been given an official title. BoxOfficeMojo and Sony/Columbia have announced that American Hustle will hit US screens from December 13th, 2013.
Starring Christian Bale, Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner, the film will also reunite Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence and Robert De Niro who have all made the leap from one Russell project to another in quick succession, having all previously been Oscar-nomiated for their work on 2012?s Silver Linings Playbook. In addition to these six heavy hitters, End Of Watch’s Michael Pena and stand-up-comic-of-the-moment Louis CK are also entering the American Hustle fold to help Russell bring Eric Singer’s script (originally titled American Bullshit) to life.
Set in the 1970s, American Hustle will tell the story of a con artist (Bale) and his partner (Adams) who are forced into working with ‘the feds’ (Cooper). Sure to combine history, drama and comedy in America’s most fashionable of eras, it (so far) has all the makings of another David O. Russell hit. After scoring nominations across the board with The Fighter (not to mention an Oscar for Bale), and global adoration for Silver Linings Playbook, Russell has managed to assemble perhaps the most intimidating cast of 2013 as he looks to secure a third consecutive critical success.
