WWW.TVLINE.COM - “I volunteer as SNL host!”
Filmdom’s Katniss Everdeen akaJennifer Lawrence will host the first Saturday Night Live of 2013, to air Jan. 19.
Lawrence’s gig was announced during this weekend’s SNL Christmas episode, which opened with the Manhattan Children’s Chorussinging “Silent Night” in remembrance of those who died in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting… and also found Samuel L. Jacksonblurting (most of) the F-word during a cameo in a “What’s Up With That?” sketch. (Kenan Thompson lightly scolded the film star, saying, “C’mon…. That costs money!”)
Joining Lawrence, a Studio 8H first-timer, as musical guest will be the American folk rock band The Lumineers.

WWW.GUARDIAN.CO.UK – The star of our No 4 film of the year, Silver Linings Playbook, talks exclusively about her stellar year
If Hollywood needed an emblematic heroine for a year of hard times and tough decisions, it came in the form of Jennifer Lawrence: resolute, unyielding and somehow old beyond her age. Lawrence’s earlier Oscar-nominated turn in the Ozark-noir Winter’s Bone proved the springboard for a brilliant 2012. There she was in the spring, wielding a bow-and-arrow as kill-or-be-killed Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games, the year’s best blockbuster. And there she was in the autumn, playing beautiful damaged goods alongside the likes of Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro in Silver Linings Playbook, the year’s best rom-com, and our fourth best film of the year.
We caught up with Lawrence on the set of Catching Fire, the second part of the Hunger Games franchise.
The line’s crackling. Where are you?
I’m filming in Hawaii. But right now I’m eating doughnuts. I’ve just been inundated with doughnuts; it’s a perk of the job.

Congrats Jen :)!
WWW.MTV.COM – There’s a silver lining to everything — even waking up at an ungodly hour to an unexpected phone call, as newly-minted Golden Globes nomineeJennifer Lawrence did Thursday morning (December 13).
“I had no idea [the Golden Globes nominations were Thursday],” Lawrence told MTV News during an exclusive interview from the set of”The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” the next chapter in the saga of reluctant rebel leader Katniss Everdeen. “My agent called me at 5:30 and I thought the set of my movie had burned down, or Josh [Hutcherson] had died or something. I didn’t realize! I was so tired!”
Now that she’s awake, Lawrence is fully aware of her Best Actress nomination for ”Silver Linings Playbook,” director David O. Russell’s romantic-comedy about Pat, a man with bipolar disorder (played by Bradley Cooper) who meets Tiffany (Lawrence), a recent widow who becomes an important part of Pat’s life. The film received three nominations in addition to Lawrence’s nod.
“It’s amazing. It was such an incredible part,” Lawrence said of receiving the nomination. “All the blood, sweat and tears that everybody put in this movie, and how much it meant to everyone, we can all share it together. David and Bradley got the recognition they deserve. It’s wonderful to be able to share it with everyone.”
But Lawrence also said that she’s not one to spend too much time dwelling on awards and nominations: “My trick — and I don’t know if it’s a trick or just a part of my personality that I can’t help — but I don’t think about it too much.”
It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, then, that Lawrence isn’t spending the day celebrating her “Silver Linings” nomination. Instead, she’s hard at work on “Catching Fire.” Lawrence has eight days left of shooting on the “Hunger Games” sequel, and today’s workload involves getting into kill-or-be-killed Katniss mode.
“I’m covered in dirt, I’m drinking coffee, and then I’m going to go get into a swamp later. I’m basically just doing what all the other nominees are doing today,” she joked. “We’re all getting in a swamp together!”

WWW.USMAGAZINE.COM – The odds are in Jennifer Lawrence’s favor!
The Hunger Games actress was voted 2013′s “Most Desirable Woman” in AskMen’s annual poll.
Lawrence, 22, who currently stars as a sex-obsessed widow opposite Bradley Cooper in the acclaimed Silver Linings Playbook, topped the list of 99 women after landing in No. 47 last year.
“Overall, there’s a sense that she’s a little more authentic than other actors,” James Bassil, editor-in-chief of AskMen, told Reuters Tuesday. “She’s fresh because we haven’t seen her all over the gossip pages for the past three or four years.”
Directly behind Lawrence on the “most desirable” list is actress (and Ashton Kutcher’s girlfriend) Mila Kunis, model Kate Upton, singer Rihanna and actress Emma Stone in fifth.
And far behind those ladies was reality starlet Kim Kardashian, fell 90 places this year. She was No. 8 last year, but just barely made the 2013 list at No. 98.
Basil explained, “Kim Kardashian is petering off and basically dropping off the list at this point even as she’s become more visible.”
